HEAD OF QUALITY
SIAN TYLER

Sian has been part of the Academy since its invention in 2005 on a part time basis and has brought with her a wealth of knowledge of NVQ’s. Sian’s main role is to ensure the high quality of the qualifications offered by the centre.

ACADEMY DIRECTOR & LEAD VERIFIER
JAMES SATCHELL

James has brought his creative skills to the Academy, James started his training in Llantwit Major. Moving to Saks in Cardiff and then spending some time with Andrew Barton in London. Then back to Saks in Clifton as head stylist. With this experience James opened his own salon in the village of Ewenny where he furthered his training as an assessor and Internal Verifier.

RHIANNON BUCKLEY

Rhiannon joined the team this year and has developed an excellent relationship with all our Salon Based Learners. Rhiannon started her training at Jantzens in Bridgend qualifying and then moving salons to gain further experience. Rhiannon also runs her own clientèle within the industry and has completed the assessor qualification.

HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION/COURSE COORDINATOR
LOUISE SHORT

Louise has been with the Academy for the last 3 years and heads all admin and the organisation of course delivery. Louise’s background has been in sales and marketing.

Louise has completed furthered her skills while working at the Academy with the completion of her level 2/3 in word processing and level 2/3 in business administration

BARBERING EDUCATOR
JAC LUDLOW
Jac is an up and coming Barber in the UK. He is a Partner of Bo Jangles British Barber Club and has multiple celebrity clients. He will be touring New York in March 2016 with Denny Moe (official Barber of Paris St German Football Team). Jac has performed at Salon International, The Great British Barber Bash and Barber Connect. In 2016 he will perform at pro Hair in Manchester, The Great British Barber Bash in Liverpool and Ireland, Barber Connect in Wales and Salon International in London showing off his amazing Barbering skills. Jac holds seminars and is an ambassador for Scissor Hands and Dapper Dan, he is also part of the Lions Collective Artistic Team.

BEAUTY EDUCATOR
HANNAH JOHNSON
Hannah has worked for The Academy for the last 2 years, teaching our NVQ Beauty Therapy Course and Beauty Short Courses. Hannah has worked alongside 5 star spa brands Espa, Elemis, Clarins and Dermalogica, she has also managed 2 spa’s for Virgin Active. Hannah now owns her own Salon within the Bridgend Community.
Hannah has trained in NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Beauty Therapy, Diploma in Holistic Therapies and also has an extensive array of additional Beauty Courses that she has undertaken over the last 10 years of her Career in Beauty Therapy.

Ceri Edwards - founder of The Academy - prides herself on the achievement of past and present candidates within The Academy and the oportunity it has given many individuals. Ceri is passionate about giving young professionals the best opportunity for a good education in Hair and Beauty.

The Academy of Hair and Beauty has had the privilege to train many candidates in a wide range of City and Guilds recognised qualifications working with individuals that aspire to fulfill their dreams of becoming professionals.

Ceri provides a service that goes beyond traditional training academy practices, ensuring that her staff, not only have the right skills, but also the right character fit to relate to candidate needs.
